Had lunch here with a group about a decade ago. Food was delicious, service was impeccable & the ambiance and view from the patio was delightful. Fast forward to brunch on 9/2/18 where I took my precious family for brunch. Only come to New York...More

5 star location, 3 star food, 1 Star service. Laugh at the service, accept the food and you’ll have a lovely lunch.

I'm conflicted about this one. Our meal was great, but the service was horrible. We ate lunch at the New Leaf after visiting the Cloisters--very convenient. My wife and I both ordered salads and watched everyone around us was served. Our server could tell I...More

New Leaf Restaurant’s staff, service and food have yet to disappoint. I’ve been here a number of times and always want to return. It’s a beautiful restaurant with a fabulous view, outdoor dinning, good food and parking. If in the neighborhood or willing to try...More

I was invited to this hidden gem by a family member. What a surprise, I didn't know it existed. A nice change from the typical tight seating in the city and with a different atmosphere, which was lovely. It has a rustic feel. When you...More

We walked here after visiting The Cloisters for an early dinner. The setting is beautiful, but the place was almost empty. We sat outside and enjoyed our dinner, but the service was so-so especially since the place was not crowded.

The cafe at the Cloisters is pricey and crowded with a limited menu, so I recommend a short walk down the street to New Leaf, instead. We were there for brunch, and were seated upon arrival in spite of being very early for our reservation....More

Description
Whether you are joining us for lunch or dinner in our intimate dining room, weekend brunch on our outdoor garden patio or signature cocktails in our first-class bar and lounge - New Leaf truly has something for everyone. In 2001, New Leaf - formerly a New York City Department of Parks & Recreation concession - was re-imagined by Bette Midler's New York Restoration Project (NYRP). In 2015, COFFEED Corp, a NYC based restaurant company with a social conscious has taken over management of New Leaf. New Leaf offers a modern American menu that features seasonal dishes made with the finest locally grown ingredients. Guests dine in an unparalleled atmosphere of comfort and serenity, provided by the restaurant's cottage-like ambiance and gorgeous green surroundings.
