This place is fine- not great, not bad. Cute decor, if old fashioned. It gets a robust crowd- reliable southern Italian choices. Not inexpensive-

This place has a pleasant, unassuming atmosphere that seemingly contradicts the creativity and exceptional quality their dishes. This was my second visit and the food is always excellent. The staff are attentive. The ambiance has a comfortable, Italian feel that makes you relax the moment you sit down. Pomodoro has become a "must-go" place when I visit NYC.

We have eaten at Pomodoro many times. Convenient to Lincoln center, the food and service are good and the prices reasonable.

I couldn't have said it better than Zagat's review: "It's like “mama's in the kitchen” cooking up “hearty” Italian classics at this “quaint” UWS vet near Lincoln Center, a “quintessential neighborhood gem” run with “loving care”; since it's “always busy”, insiders make reservations to dodge the “wait for a table.” Insiders tip: go hungry and make a reservation. They have... More

First night in New York close to mid town Manhattan walking, so we stopped in for an evening meal and found this Italian restaurant. I must say there wasn't a lot on the menu that seemed to interest me and I like Italian food, so I had the bake ziti, my wife had the eggplant parmesan. All was good but... More

A real Italian chef would be ashamed of the generic stuff they serve here. Red sauce is diced tomatoes apparently straight from the can, and the veg is mass feeding carrots and green beans. They get you in and out fast but the resemblance to real Italian cooking is skiggy

Excellent food, excellent service, and the owner or manager cared whether or not we were enjoying our time and food. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely go back if in the area again. All 4 meals were awesome.

Absolutely awful! Poor quality food cooked in a fast food style, terrible tasteless vegetables, overcooked deep-fried fish in a greasy sauce, smelly surroundings. Avoid!

About 10 blocks from natural history museum, this is one of the better Italian restaurants in the neighborhood, mostly due to the fresh pastas offered on the menu. Its a neighborhood restaurant, its been on Seinfeld, the pasta is above average - some dishes you can only find here, especially the Mafaldina al Sugo di Carne, wide fettuchine loaded with... More
