We visited Sambuca's cafe today (feb 6,2016) after visiting the bakery across the road. We had a little one with us so we were desperate to sit somewhere warm for a coffee with bathrooms for our little one to use. We were greeted in a friendly fashion and told to sit where ever we liked. We ordered 2 cappuccinos &... More

Stopped in for coffee and hot chocolate to warm up. We had a lovely greeting from a very nice lady who was particularly nice to our little boy. Warm, cosy atmosphere. Apparently the cheesecake was great here too! She recommended visiting the Church next door to see the beautiful Nativity scene and we did. It really was beautiful and so... More

Atmosphere: very cool little café in Little Italy Food: The cannoli's were good but small for the price ($2 each or 3 for $5). Drink: The hot chocolate was really good, but again, pricey.

From first entering-when we weren't even greeted to sitting down and not being given menus for 10 minutes to awful pizza, it could not have gotten much worse. Staff shouting at each other and customers awful service at least if the food was good we would have not been too annoyed. A frozen goodfellas pizza would have been nicer, soooo... More

I was shopping in wet Chinatown, when I came across this Cafe , and decided to escape the bad weather . This cafe served delicious cake to supplement the smooth coffee.

My auntie and I bought cannollis from across the street, decided we would like to sit out and have a coffee. We sat down, woman who I think to be the owner burst out the door, you can't eat that there (box of cakes unopened). I said oh we are going to order coffee we need a seat. She continued... More

Stumbled along this place. It was ok, we had three drinks a piece and a pizza. The pizza was tasty but small. Drinks decent. Service was ok and friendly.

We stopped here to try the tiramisu and have a break from sightseeing. One carafe of red and a few hours later we left feeling like we had made new friends. The staff were friendly and helpful and the wine was delicious! It wasn't the cheapest cafe bar we have ever stopped at but the atmosphere and service softened the... More

The strudel and tiramisu were ok, but to pay 8USD for a cappuccino that was nothing special it is way overpriced as the place is really nothing special. I wanted to take the bill, but then the waitress said that I can not and brought me some other peace of paper. Seems like they like to cheat the tourists.

I visited this place during the Feast of San Gennaro and had a really good time. The apple pie was great and so was the service. Be sure to visit this place when youre near Mulberry Street!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
