Very good restaurant, Japanese style, from the greetings at arrival to farewell...irashaimase!! Japanese girls with Japanised English to serve. I had a beef teishoku, which was super! The meat was medium cooked perfectly, the steamed rice was tasteful, alongside Sapporo beer. My wife had the sea bass teishoku and my daughter the salmon teishoku. Prices are above average, that is... More

We had various sushi rolls along with regular sushi. The rolls were tasty though quite small. The salmon and tuna sushi was vet good.

I have been to Sushiden several times, but the quality of their food has always amazed me. Their sushi is just so fresh. I wish I lived in NY and could go there more often!

We used to live in Tokyo and we are very picky when it comes to sushi. This restaurant is however one of the few places to enjoy real Japanese sushi outside Japan. The restaurant offers nice menus with miso soup and a salad. There is a nice selection of sake to go with the food and the staff is attentive.... More

First things first. Make sure you know which one you're going to. There are two Sushidens!!! My sashimi sushi lunch special was outstanding. Fresh fish and efficient service. Sat at sushi counter because they gave our table away after 5 mins!!! I was at the other one rushing to get there!! Not cheap but worth it.

Expectations are high for sushi in Manhattan. This restaurant did not make the grade on overall food quality or atmosphere.

I've eaten here a number of times over the years and always been happy with the quality. I like sushi, and often seek it out when I am traveling, sometimes taking it out or having it delivered and eating back in my hotel. Suhsiden has always been a reliable place, with good quality and selection. Not cheap, but consistent. I'm... More

People may be cheated by any other Sushi Restaurant in NYC. Sushiden is a reputable Tokyo based Sushi Restaurant with its head location right in front of world famous Tsukiji Fish Market. They receive materials both from Japan and USA, fresh (nothing to compare !), unique and yet traditional. The best bet will be to ask for the counter seat... More

We visited sushiden at the beginning of January whilst on a business trip, After first going to the wrong 'sushiden' Seems crazy that there is 2 sushiden on the same road ???? Anyway, the place and staff is very authentic, and on first impressions alone it was well worth the visit, We sat at the main sushi bar, was served... More

They make sure that you know that children and teens are not welcomed. We made a reservation and when we showed up, they looked at my kids with such distaste that we decided to just take off.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
