Made reservations for dinner before the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon. Arrived and promptly seated at the window table. Asked for the House red and it was a very nice, drinkable wine but from Chile which surprised me. Ordered the Antipasta DiLuirro for two which had a wonderful assortment of hot items. Fettuccine Alfredo for me and the Seafood Cartoccio... More

Chicken dish was yummy. but the pasta carbonara, was a bit too much. Too rich...And the stuffed mushrooms are still a mystery to us, and we commented that Gordon Ramsay would've sent them back to the kitchen. Service impersonal...vs Italian.

I met some business associates at Paesano's since one of them has been going there for years and swears by the fresh pasta. He was right! I had the gnocchi Bolognese and it was terrific. Everyone else liked their dishes too. The wine list and atmosphere are decent, but not great, Service is a little better than the wine. Go... More

The atmosphere is very nice and feels like you are in Italy. The tables are a bit close to others and that was the only down side. The food is great and the service is wonderful. Always like going back to little Italy when back home visiting family.

I've been coming here for years. First introduced to Paesano by my dad. Now I come here with friends and family every time I am in NYC. You can't go wrong with any dish you pick. The atmosphere is calm and romantic. Service is always very good. TIP: They are now on Open Table and can reserve a table in... More

Went with the family on a recent stay in NYC. The food was fantastic! Service was great. Server was knowledgeable and very accommodating. Reasonably priced and kid friendly. Originally we were going to Pellegrinos (next door) but they had some plumbing issues, so we were encouraged by the management to go here (I think they have the same owner).

I went here on the recommendation of a friend, and I was so glad that I did! A host greeted my party immediately when we walked in, and he led us to a table right away. The restaurant was packed and very lively. The staff were attentive, and offered wine suggestions for meal pairings. I had the veal parmigiana, and... More

Set in Little Italy this lively restaurant was a pleasure to go to. The food was excellent; freshly made, very tasty and plentiful. The service was quick, friendly and entertaining. The only negative was if you were aiming for a quiet romantic dinner for two, then this would not be a good choice. It is quite crowded and you can... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
