There is no taste to the food we waited like 45 min for main dish. The chef is amatuer ! Not worth the money!

We dined as Pascalou with friends this week for a second time and it was even better than our last visit in December. The 3 course early menu is varied and incredibly cheap. Our group enjoyed mussels, dumplings, and Caesar salad as a first course. For a main course I ordered the beef short ribs and others the shrimp risotto... More

Went here based on the reviews. It is very small so you need reservations. We ordered off the fixed menu. The salad I had was good. My friend mentioned she had a nut allergy and it was acknowledged. My salmon was not completely cooked and the veggies needed to be cooked. Dessert was either fruit or a dolce du leche... More

I apologize for our poor service and bad experience you encountered at my restaurant. I am looking into the matter and hope to get it resolved soon. Nut allergies are a very serious issue and my waiter should have been more attentive, particularly to the dessert order. I have always prided myself on the fact that we are small and... More

Have been coming for 10 years when I am in NYC. They have always been so accommodating except for tonight. It seems a year ago they lost their maître d who had been there as long as we had been coming. Tonight we had a surely French waitress who would not do any of our requests which had been done... I am sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience at Pascalou, particularly since you have been coming for 10 years. It is true we lost Martin after 8 years to his home country of England, and we all miss him. It is not easy to replace someone so beloved by everyone. We are working hard to restore... More

I have passed by Pascalou for a while now and finally decided to try it. I regret that it took me so long to do so. The food is some of the best French fare that I have had on this side of the Atlantic. The Rabbit was superb, as was the appetizer Onion soup. The Apple Tart was light... More

Thank you for stopping in and the great review. We love to hear that kind of feedback and appreciate you taking the time to respond so beautifully. Pascal works very hard on his menu and it is responses like yours that keep him striving to do better. Thank you . Lottie More

Sunday brunch at Pascalou was a treat! Cosy, welcoming and lively, we are joyed our meal at Pascalou. Service was prompt and friendly, the menu had my French favorites, and the food was delicious. Located on the UES, its close to shopping, Central Park and the museums. A definite

Very good food and ambiance in small French restaurant. Duck confit was delicious. Crab cakes very good. A little crowded but excellent service.

Sunday brunch with a friend. The prix fix is incredible -- a drink, entree and dessert. The crab sandwich is actually a large portion of lump crab with bread you can spread it on, a green salad and a choice of soup. Add in a kir and coconut gelato for dessert (other choice was chocolate mousse) and it was a... More

I had one of the worst meals I've ever had on the Upper East Side when I dined at Pascalou on Monday evening. My friend had booked this a few days earlier and she suggested we arrive in time for the fixed price menu. However, after having been seated for 10 minutes, nobody had yet to offer us water to... I am sorry you and your friend had such an awful experience at Pascalou. My husband and chef, Pascal is from Bordeaux, educated and trained in the French culinary system. I do not know what happened that night, but his skate normally gets rave reviews. I am also sorry about the confusion over the price fixe menu, the reservationist must... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
