We went to this location at the recommendation of A FREIND WHOS LIVES IN New York. I have had better pizza in Florida. I was expecting more from a New York Pizzeria

We stopped by to try out the famous Lombardi's pizza. We just wanted to a cheese pizza. It was a little pricy for pizza (~$27), but ok for vacation and it is supposed to be the first pizza place in the US. Our pizza looked like they baked it in the morning and reheated it and hence burnt the crust.... More

It's not "really" the oldest pizzeria in NYC. Pizza is just OK but greatly overpriced. Also it's cash only, which I find ridiculous. Oh, I'm Italian by the way.

Absolutely delicious pizza and salad! We had to wait about 5 minutes for a table but the staff were all very organized and worked as quickly as they could to get everyone seated. Food came quickly and was piping hot. Pizza was delicious and so was the caesar salad.

This place was fantastic! We dined on cheese pizza and it was so good we had to order more. The restaurant was clean and the server was very attentive. We will be back for sure on our next trip.

We went for dinner on a Tuesday night. Had a beer while waiting - Didn't take long at all! Sat and the service was quick and very friendly. Had the meatballs which were recommended and FANTASTIC! Then had a large pepperoni pizza to share - beyond enough for two...couldn't finish it! Just remember this is CASH ONLY! Come prepared. It... More

People. Go here. Eat great real Italian pizza and be happy. ❤️ this place. The service is awesomesauce minus the New York hustle and bustle. Count yourself lucky if you've visited. Oldest pizza joint in the city. I'll be back!

$40+ for a pizza it had better be good - it was. We walked in late and had to wait about 30 minutes at the bar - not a hardship. The service was ok, although getting a 2nd beer wasn't easy. The pizza was as good as the reviews say. Perfect base and excellent if expensive toppings.

Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
