Great restaurant if you're a lover of Mexican food like we are! You have to try the guacamole which is prepared right in front of you and to a spice of your choice! The portion sizes are more than good enough, you won't be left hungry! Will definitely visit again!

What more can I say about Rosas? We sampled another branch some months ago so, on our return to New York, we moseyed in with high expectations and we were not disappointed. We had a brace of their very excellent pomegranate frozen margaritas to start us off which, it has to be said, are strong and not for the faint-hearted.... More

Food was tasty but was lukewarm! And $15.00 for guacamole is a travesty! Better Mexican food can be had a little no name places all over the city. Will not be coming back.

Took my wife here and then some of our staff the next night when we were recently in NY. Very friendly staff with good service. The menu is a little hit and miss but overall pretty good Mexican food. Everyone loved the table-side guacamole making - and the guys doing the work didn't seem to mind photos and stupid questions... More

This is a big and busy restaurant and not sure they had enough staff working when we were there as was really hard to get attention. We booked a table but wasn't ready when we arrived and so had to wait a bar where the greeter said she'd come and find us but never did. Went and eventually asked and... More

First off - I am a HUGE Rosa Mexicana Fan. Been to all several times & their tableside Guac still can't be beat. But last night - has one of the worst dinners at Rosa. Started off with the Guac - Yummy - as always. However our drinks weren't brought out until well after we finished our Chipds and Guac.... More

This large eatery can feel like a mess hall from the sound- but a mess hall of love! THE BEST GUACAMOLE Made to order at the table. Salsa: smokey and flavorful. Chips: not salty or greasy. In essence: everything we ordered ingredients used/produce felt fresh and flavorful. Portion sizes are generous. Cocktails have wide selection to choose from with high... More

Not happy will not be returning. No taste on fish tacos and my husbands grilled chicken salad tasted fishy.

Just blocks away from Manhattan's lively Union Square, our third New York location provides a warm and vibrant setting for our award-winning authentic Mexican cuisine. Designed by David Rockwell and launched in October 2005, this stunning restaurant features architectural accents inspired by the late, famed Mexican architect, Luis Barragan. The internally illuminated electric-blue tiled water wall features cliff diver figurines and candles among the cascading water to separate the bar from the main dining room. Warm terracotta and yellow colors with hot pink accents are featured throughout the restaurant as well as traditional, one-of-a-kind Mexican crafts, fabrics and artwork. This combination creates the perfect backdrop for the festive atmosphere and innovative Mexican cuisine of Rosa Mexicano.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
