Great, fresh arepas with different fillings. Real venezuelan arepas! The place is really small and like a bar but cozy. Service excellent!

Arepas are addictive -- a huge variety of choice of fillings in these semi-crispy corn flatbreads. lots of choice. the Yo Yos (fried plantains with cheese) are also amazing. you don't go there for a sit-down meal. You 'll never find a place to sit...More

This place literally is like a little hole in the wall. There are 4 seats at the bar, and 4 tables tucked into every available inch. The seats are window seats and milk crates (but fancy milk crates.) Totally worth the wait. I first tried...More

An arepa is not always an arepa. Especially since Columbian and Venezuelan arepas are very different. Who has better arepas? Columbian (Arepa Lady) or Venezuelan (Caracas Arepa Bar)? Having loved the moist, thick fluffy cheese filled arepas at Arepas Lady with toppings, I came here...More

The Caracas Arepa Bar is a very small restaurant that specializes in Venezuelan arepas but has other dishes, as well. The prices are reasonable and all the items we had were very good. The service is very good, but the decor is a bit rustic.

The place is small, but it is nicely decorated and it is very cozy. The arepas were delicious, and we also ordered tajadas, which were amazing!

East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college
students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the
old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still
experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned
shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of

i've never tried.. Waiting is not so bad though, you can hang out on the bar and have their friendly bartenders fix you up with a drink or a snack.

Description
Welcome to our East Village home! Caracas Arepa Bar has been serving Venezuelan arepas on East 7th Street since 2003. Join us in our cozy dining room for lunch and dinner specials everyday, as well as brunch on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. As any of our regulars will tell you, there's usually no way of escaping the evening wait at the door - but please, be patient and let us welcome you to a much deserved Caracas experience on the other side. Due to our limited space, we do not recommend parties greater than five people in our Manhattan location. We cannot accept reservations - all seating is done on a first come, first serve basis. Caracas Arepa Bar is proud to be part of the East Village community, and appreciates the customer loyalty within the neighborhood.
