Packed. Twenty minute wait for lunch at 1:30 on a Monday. Good table service very high priced but good food.

Oh my gosh! The sandwich is enormous. More meat than any sandwich I've ever had. And the best juiciest meat that melts in your mouth. Of course you have to run 1k to burn all the calories later. 😂

We come here once a month. There is no corned beef or pastrami in the world like it. The decor hasn't changed except for the larger bathrooms that were put in. The line set up and the way you pay by someone filling out these...More

My first memory of Katz's are the old grey beards standing behind the counter slicing some lean pastrami. I don't have to tell you how good it is, you already know. Recently I had the honor of teaching my grandson how to give tip and...More

Seriously one of the best Pastrami sandwiches I've ever eaten. The service was great and the atmosphere was alive and energetic! The worst thing about Katz's Deli for me is that it is too far away from my home in Michigan!

Two of us went for lunch mid-week. It is a classic NYC experience with great food. Glad we went. Both sandwiches were fantastic.

Very expensive, not relaxing, and not the best pastrami I had on this visit to the Northeast. My wife and I went late one evening to avoid the madness and were lucky enough to even find a spot on the street to park a couple...More

I have a weakness for certain foods I cannot get in the Pacific Northwest. While in NYC this past weekend, I took advantage of a free morning to take a cab ride from midtown to the Lower East Side (figure $20 +/-) and Katz's Deli....More

As a fan of the fare served in delis like Katz I knew I was going to like the food and hoped it had retained its original charm. Tables at the edge are waiter service and the pastrami sandwich beat me. Great buzz and a...More

Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving
immigrant past and its modern transformation into a
beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side
is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city.
The blocks of tenements that represented the promise
and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience
now command top dollar for new residents. Right next
to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment

Yes, but they do not offer gluten-free bread. But you could bring your own bread, and they'll be happy to make you a sandwich using your bread

Not quite sure what your question is? please explain further? If you have indeed eaten here forever as you say you will be well aware that the food is not best quality compared even to the recently parted Carnegie Deli.

The food at Katz's is authentic Jewish deli, despite it being a large, crowded environment. One goes there for pastrami not ketchup police or ambiance.
