This is a local institution. Never mind the national chains, Jimbo's offers real hamburgers and grilled cheese sandwiches in a wonderful old and dated cramped space Even if hear only. for a few minutes you will leave smelling for the rest of the day like a hamburger! If the character J. Wellington Wimpy was real he would eat here. Experience... More

Simply a great burger place. You can order other counter foods, but Jimbo's is basically a great burger place. Nothing fancy, just great meat in an honest burger at a great price.

Small mom & pop joint throughout NYC that's not to be slept on. Save a few bucks, eat yummy food, like - their home fries (yum), fresh eggs, fresh everything... All cooked in front of you. Small location with 3 employees at best, but super efficient. My wife grew up eating Jimbo's and she always makes it a point to... More

Best kept secret on the Eastside...JIMBOS has been in business for over 30++ years and keeps making the best burgers and fries in NYC, not to mention their GREAT coffee as well as breakfasts. A multi generational family business, in a tiny shop with a few counter seats, these fellows are up-to-date with on line ordering services, call in, and... More

They make the best burgers in NYC hands down without a doubt! It's small yes but that just adds to the charm! Can't go wrong with it!

I grew up in NYC and I have not found a better burger than this place. Yes the place may be small but the burgers are the best. Cooked perfectly with tje fries and the cost is just right. The best is the original one on Amsterdam Ave between 125th and 126th ston the uptown side.

How can I describe Jimbos? A greasy spoon, a hole in the wall, a hamburger joint, a mini-deli? It is a tiny restaurant on the East Side of Manhattan. The counter has only few stools and only a couple of small tables for two. Yet it is always bustling with eat-in diners and a brisk take out business. While they... More

When I want a burger... pronto... I love going to Jimbo's! They have takeout but since I live nearby I usually stop in - the burgers are cooked up fresh right in front of you and they're always tasty. Another random item that is great are the corn muffins - they grilled one for me with butter and it was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
