We went on a Thursday night, and this was our second choice Mexican restaurant as our first choice was packed with the after work crowd. Pompano is a little bit further from the action, on 3rd Avenue, so was a little emptier. The waiter was...More

I visited Pampano New York for a dinner in summer. Their dishes were very nice and cutting-edged. I hope to visit again in future.

Located in midtown east is Pompano. A former Latin seafood restaurant, is now more Mexican, slightly less seafood, and at a lower price point than before. Fortunately quality seems to be the same. The ground floor is a bar area and the main dining room...More

What a pleasant surprise we experienced. We were looking for a roof top patio to enjoy the weather and a Rose for lunch. We stumbled into Pampano and loved the ambiance the moment we stepped in. We shared a wonderful appetizer of smoked sword fish,...More

High end Mexican with interpretive menu that explains all offerings. Filet and rock shrimp were good. Hibiscus margarita was outstanding. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Just a note, was there in July and the a/c struggled.

This is no ordinary Mexican restaurant. It’s a higher end of the spectrum...serving Guacamole with different heat factors, as well as ceviches. 6 of us ordered the above for sharing and it tasted good! A couple had their tacos, the other fish halibut cooked perfectly....More

Chef Richard Sandoval and Maestro Placido Domingo have partnered to create a Mexican escape in midtown Manhattan. Pampano’s breezy yet elegant, white on white decor showcases Chef Sandoval’s vibrant coastal Mexican cuisine. In the spring and summer, sip on handcrafted margaritas or one of Pampano's 100 tequilas on the outdoor terrace. “Best New Restaurant in America” Esquire Magazine “a clear sense of how competing flavors and textures can be orchestrated to create exciting results” New York Times – two stars “Sandoval uses European techniques to bring the vivid flavors of Mexico to life” Michelin Guide
