The food was wonderful, excellent service, and a great view of the statue of Columbus and a view of Central Park South.

We went for my birthday. The restaurant was good at accommodating a large group. Food was delicious, really well balanced taste and delicately arranged. The only thing is you go through the shopping mall to access the restaurant.

Great service. Pretty good food. The entire experience was very good, but probably not in my top 10 restaurant experiences. It was also a little weird to me that this very nice restaurant is basically in a mall. If I have to take a couple of escalators and walk past a Banana Republic to get to a restaurant, it already... My fiancee took me to Per Se for my birthday dinner. We have two passions, food and travel. We have been to over 50 countries and who knows how many Michelin starred restaurants. In NYC we have been to Le Bernadin, Eleven Madison Park, Jean-George, Daniel, Bouley, Café Boulud, Gotham Bar and Grill, Gramercy Tavern, Telepan, etc.. Per Se is... More

I had heard about Per Se for several years, would always pass by the Time Warner building and say I was going to eat there but did not know when. The opportunity came and it did not disappoint. Every course was a decadent experience. Not eating red meat, chicken, or pork was not a problem, they worked within my dietary... More

I suppose it's part of Thomas Keller's philosophy: if it's expensive, must be good. And tell you the truth, it is good, but by far not outstanding and extremely over priced. Fantastic service, very small portions and meant to be fashionable and trendy. To me, at over $ 400 per person including wine, it's a one time experience at best... More

This place is a must when you are looking for a course menu experience. The place is modern and fancy. People who enjoy food here seem to be international foodies.

Worthy of special occasions (if paying for yourself), this hyper-expensive restaurant is tucked away in a fourth floor corner of a shopping mall that also houses the Mandarin Oriental above. There is an excellent private room for business dinners and I'm told all staff have to sign non-disclosure agreements in case they hear anything worthwhile while serving. Food preparation, presentation... More

Our third visit to Per Se and the first after a not so flattering review by food critics. This visit was the best of all my Per Se experiences. We had a 5:30 reservation and although that's an early time, by the time you finish your meal about 4 hours later you'll be happy that you didn't have an 8... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
