When planning my trip to NYC, I had to make reservations at Toledo after visiting last year. There were 4 of us in the party. Each one of us enjoyed every course. From vegetarian to seafood to beef, every entree was delicious! The cheesecake was light and creamy :) We had time to discuss business without feeling rushed. Will definitely... More

One of our favorite New York establishment. We always order the seafood paella, and it is always excellent, as is the gazpacho. The service is most attentive.

The place is secluded and cosy with a many wood touches and ceiling natural light in the back dining room The bread is adequate but could be crunchier Starter: white asparagus ( very tender, cooked to perfection with a light vinaigrette and refresshing finely shopped onions and red peppers ) Main: Veal scalopine with mushroms ( the veal was very... Fabulous restaurant. The Spanish cuisine (Spain not Mexico) is authentic! The service is first class. The ambiance is pleasantly formal and exquisitely decorated. While we all want to see the menu, pause, be patient, and let your server describe the 'off menu' items. Choose from those. You will not be disappointed. Quite the contrary. The freshest, prepared for you, selections... More

Vegetable Paella...Mmmm! Terrific food and friendly, attentive staff. Our whole group enjoyed the meal from appetizers to main course - no room for dessert, but it all looked delicious.

We enjoyed our meal here and were pleased to find such a first-class restaurant near our hotel. The restaurant was a little quiet with not many diners. They could use a little background music! But the service was very good once the waiter warmed up to us. Speaking a little Spanish helped to break the ice. The paella marinara was... More

The gorgeous wood paneled door and sign, Toledo, stopped us in our tracks. We were looking for the place we had already made reservations. Toledo drew us in by its mystery and well-kept, honorabe entrance. We were treated to refined, knowledgeable, kind waiter service by gentlemen. The food was, sooooo good. Just Pollo Ajillo, was unbelievable. My friend just had... More

I love restaurants that don't rush you and this was such a place. Good service but not pushy. Three of us shared the calamari app. Perfect as a shared dish. For the main course I had the milk fed veal with mushrooms. The veal was so soft it was like butter. So yummy!!! I finished the meal with a yummy... More

Last night we decided to explore near our midtown hotel and decided to go for Spanish food. Sergio and Miguel were the caballeros who assisted us in this quest for the Windmills that sprang alive for this Sancho when dining with my quixotic wife. She went for the Paella Mariners and I went for the veal with truffles and mushrooms.... More

Description
Toledo Restaurant has been serving patrons of NYC & beyond for over thirty years. Since its inception in 1975, we have been recognized as "serving the city's best Spanish" (The New York Post). Toledo Restaurant began at 55 West 35th Street between 6th & 5th Avenue, where we stood the test of time for sixteen years. After that, Toledo moved to its present more spacious location in Murray Hill, to 6 East 36th Street between 5th & Madison Avenue. The move to our new address was not only to acquire more room for our diners but also a chance to show our true colors. Many have come to call us "classic, old-world & handsome" (Zagat 99, 01, 02), decorated in Spanish artifacts from all parts of Spain like Toledo, Sevilla, Madrid, & even Galicia. Much of our staff has been with us for over Twenty years. When you come to Toledo you can expect reliable and consistent food & service, whether it is to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, family reunion, host a company Christmas party or a baby shower. So come experience what others have already been calling some of the best Spanish in the city

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
