I've eaten at Peter Luger's in Brooklyn, Ruth's Chris, Morgan's, Del Frisco's, Old Homestead and of course Keen's. In my opinion the top two are Keen's and Luger's. But since Luger's is in Brooklyn, Keen's is the best steak in Manhattan by quite a big...More

This is a steak and chophouse. Big, hearty portions and large perfectly cook steaks. It's a busy restaurant at dinner time. It's a bit quieter for lunch. But, this is not a quiet romantic environment. It's fun! The pipes on the ceiling are cool and...More

Expensive steak... but it’s very good ^ ^ Portion is quite big for an Asian like me! Suggest to order 2 steak to share with 3 people or else it’s either a waste or take away > < Simple comment: it tastes GOOD and JUICY......More

The steak was tasty but not up to my high standards of the last few steaks I’ve had. Friendly staff and interesting atmosphere.

Steeped in history the Mutton Chop is a ‘must’ and the Prime Rib a close second. The Bloody Mary is so good you feel as though you could ask for a knife and fork !

Keens is a great New York steakhouse experience for good reason. The atmosphere is lively, the steaks are good, and the establishment is reminiscent of another era in New York's history. It really does look like something out of a movie set! The door staff...More

We couldn’t make a reservation until late so we stopped by to see if they took “walk-ins”. No luck, but they offered us the full menu in the bar , so we decided to stay. A 30 ounce kings cut prime rib was far more...More

You could risk it on a quiet night but much better to book. Worth not missing it.

Description
Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings – pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendary mutton chops and dry aged prime steaks are still without equal in the city.
