We were well pleased with our pre-show dinner. They offer a reasonably-priced prix fixe menu and are conveniently located on Restaurant Row in the theater district. The hosts, chef and staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed.

Disappointing on several levels. Food was just mediocre... but most of the staff was extremely cordial. Buyer beware! We had a reservation for 4 people for over a month. Hostess took us to a table designed for 2... at most 3. You could never have gotten 4 people at the Lilliputian excuse for a 4-top! I asked if we could... More

We had a reservation at 6:45 PM....walked in to the French restaurant at 6:30. There were over 10 people in line. I mentioned we had a reservation and were told that there was only one table available...and that one was right in the middle of everything going on in the restaurant. We took it and were glad we did. We... More

I found this little gem while scrolling through my Facebook timeline. They advertised a French Onion Soup Burger, it looked so good on Facebook I had to try it myself. My wife and I made reservations on a Saturday for 5pm and when we arrived we were greeted at the door by a nice lady who promptly took our coats... More

On a freezing nigth in NYC (20 degrees outside )we were looking forward to have an enjoyable evening with friends in this french restaurant. The restaurant was incredible cold. We sat down, and asked if they could put the heat higher. They did nothing. They have a fix price dinner, for $39.00, the menu is extensive, the food is o.kThe... More

Le Rivage is located on "restaurant row", in the NYC theater district. It offers a moderately priced, French bistro type, prix fixe dinner menu, that includes a number of options. We were welcomed graciously, and the service was very good. The decor was attractive, with impressionist style paintings on the walls. The food was good to very good. The entree... More

We were not going to the theater the night we ate at Le Rivage. We just wanted a quiet dinner, French style. But the theater crowd really overtook the restaurant. We loved the service and the food but the hustle and bustle was a bit much. And not too French...

The great thing about Rivage is that it is so reasonably price for being in Manhattan. I had the French Onion soup which is too notch. I also had the Cordon Blue which is amazing. All desserts are phenomenal. This should be on your list of places to visit.

My wife and I visited here on our last day. Service and food was brilliant. Only intended on having a quick bite to eat and ended up having 3 courses and staying a couple of hours. The French onion soup burger which was amazing. Would highly recommend

My wife and I enjoyed this restaurant so much we came twice in our one week holiday last November. You just can't beat French cuisine! We order from the Pre Theater menu. The food was delicious. Service was great. Fast, hot and delicious. Thanks!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
