This was a decent standard French restaurant. Food was good, but not spectacular. Some dishes had too much salt. The Duck Mousse appetizer should be table shared or you could have it as an entree. Wine list was decent. Wait staff was very attentive despite the place being packed on Saturday pre-theater. Would want to explore other restaurants next trip,... More

Yes, it was leisurely, but also a little slow. There is a fine line between being left to enjoy, and slow service. I would say this was on the side of slow service. Our drink orders were taken, and it felt like an eternity before they were delivered. Also it felt like our server felt like serving was beneath him.... More

Our dinner the night before at Glass House Tavern was fine. Our dinner at Marseille was exceptional. We took our 13 and 16 year-old daughters here and are so glad we did. The server was efficient, friendly, helpful, and professional. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed but feels special. Food runners were equally professional and kind. The food was excellent.... More

We went to Marseille on our last night in NY City and we loved it. If we weren't leaving the next day we would have gone back again. The food was wonderful. We had a party of 6 and everyone loved their meal, especially the French onion soup. My husband had a steak and said it was one of the... More

I loved the food here so much that I am reviewing it only minutes after returning from dinner. I ordered the Tuscan chicken which was served with mashed potato and green beans. This classic meal was quite possibly the best chicken dish I've eaten in my life. The sauce was so good I wanted to lick my plate. The mashed... More

Although this can be a noisy dining experience, we lucked out with a corner table. Had a wonderful French pinot blanc, delicious shrimp beignets, fresh salads just for starters. Moved on to pasta entree, crab cakes, a side of pumpkin risotto all with fresh bread sticks. Really enjoyed this lively experience. Unfortunate that they don't play French music.

Very good french styled restaurant, food was delightful (tried the steak and the crab tortellini). The service was very good and the atmosphere was outstanding, lights low on a beautiful hall, perfect for a romantic meal.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of dimmed lighting that was just perfect for couple dinner. We enjoyed an appetizer and actually shared an entree (no it was small however we had drinks and that was enough calories, yes we watch what we eat). It was absolutely delicious and very satisfying. I would definitely return to try other dishes that piqued... More

We had walked past this Parisian styled restaurant on several occasions and stopped in for the prix fixe dinner on Saturday night. The staff were friendly, efficient and helped us with our wine and menu selections. I had the delicious kale, apple, walnut and goats cheese salad for a starter followed by a hearty serve of Tuscan baked chicken on... More

We were walking by and decided to stop here for a dinner. We didn't want to wait for a table so we sit outside, which was not a best idea as there were workers carrying out garbage from a construction site. Anyway, the food was very nice (we had Branzino and Tuna steak) and delicious and the service was also... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
