Wichcraft is a great place to go for a good and quick sandwich in New York City. The ingredients are fresh and the bread is as well. Really enjoy it.

I can't believe half a sandwich, a small cup of soup (not even filled to brim) and a beverage costs $15. The quality of the food is decent, but portions are small and meek. As for the seating area upstairs, it's cavernous and loud because of the hardwood floors.

I was happy with the huge salad i got here, although its not cheap, it definitely looked fresh! It was so fresh i found a dead ladybug in mine! I wasn't too fussed by this though. The only thing is they waste a lot of paper, everything you get has so much wrapping, and its placed inside a huge paper... More

Delicious cup of tomato soup hit the spot in a cafeteria type setting. I'm not ready to drink wine from a beer can, though.

We had ‘Wichcraft delivered and the turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich on mulit-grain bread was very good. The chickpea side is also recommended. Great healthy sandwiches to go!

This is a great place to buy a bag lunch is you are taking one of the cruises around Manhattan. It is great fun to watch the staff make everything to order or to sit either downstairs or upstairs and wait for it to be delivered to you. Virtually everything is made to order, mostly local within a hundred miles... More

Stopped in for a quick lunch before heading off to airport. It looked promising but the ciabatta on the sandwich was dry chewy and stale. Too bad.

Quick stop. Sandwiches are not cheap and they are somewhat small but it was quick, there is a good seating area and the ingredients were good. I had a peanut butter and jelly and my friend had ham and cheese. Both were on very good bread.

Not sure what's happened here. I visit a business just across the street and love to come in here early just to drink the wonderful coffee and have a pastry. Not any more. The coffee was uninspired and the croissant over-baked (and cold - even Starbucks will warm it up for you). The piped music was so loud you couldn't... More

Not cheap, but very good sandwiches and salads, in the incredibily charming environment of Bryant Park. Nice to have lunch there!

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
