am a big tom Colicchio fan but was a bit underwhelmed. the service was NOT good. indifferent which is worse than bad. food decent though...enjoyed No Man,Cabot Syrah. heaven gunpowder, risotto balls, fonduta, orecchiette, agnolotti and fried chicken. the orecchiette and fried chicken were the best dishes we had.

We stopped for quick bite and few glasses of wine. Service was great, wine selections were spot on for lunch and the chicken and waffles very good. Loved this place and definitely would re visit!

As I am a huge fan of the flagship restaurant Craft, we thought we would give this more casual restaurant a chance. Service was great. Prompt, friendly, and engaging... The food however... was fine. Nothing was bad... but nothing was particularly good either. We ordered (and I had to think about it for a minute, even though our meal was... More

I've watched Collegio for many years on his a-show. But, his place was good. I got the confit duck, and I have to say, his heirloom beans outshone the duck, but it's because they were FANTASTIC. Weird to say that I can't remember beans ever being so incredible. Spice blend was jesus good and the appetizer, his country pate was... More

Went here as we were in the neighborhood, and one of our favorite spots is sister restaurant, Craft. We found the service to be very attentive; it was 6 pm on a Wednesday night but the food was lacking in taste and originality. I don't even remember our appetizers, and our main courses were disappointing. We found the value fine... More

In town for a quick get away. Went for dinner this past Sunday during #NYCrestuarantweek and it was great. Food, service, presentation, atmosphere. Loved everything about this place. Would recommend and go back for sure. Of course, since it was a special promo, we enjoyed 3 courses for $42 ($5.00 supplement for the duck entrée). The chicken liver pate appetizer... More

This noisy, popular place earned mixed reviews from our group. Particularly disappointing was the roasted pork loin. One would expect a lean piece of meat. Instead the pork was mostly fat with a paltry amount of meat. The confit lamb had a similar problem (a fatty piece of lamb) but there was sufficient lamb to satisfy - at least a... More

4 of us all ordered something different, different appetizers, different mains and different desserts so I feel we did the menu justice. We all tried each dish. From the bland chicken liver appetizer to too cold cheese to finish, it was sadly underwhelming. Oh well.

Service was friendly and professional. Wine and beer lists were very good. The restaurant select chardonnay was excellent, my wife really enjoyed it. My ACBC beer was great - I'm looking for a six pack for home. We started with the rice balls which were creamy and delicious. The accompanying sauce was tasty and had a little kick of heat.... More

Chef Lauren Hirschberg prepares seasonal inspired dishes at Tom Colicchio’s casual Flatiron restaurant. The menu features a wide variety of small & large plates from Snacks, House-Made Charcuterie, Salumi, Artisanal Cheeses, Salads as well as Handmade Pastas, all expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The rustic and comfortable dining room lends itself to a quick lunch where guests can try our Croque Monsieur, a full dinner of Choucroute Garnie and Ricotta Ravioli, or a snack of Pecorino Arancini and East Coast Oysters. We are also serving a soul-satisfying brunch with dishes like Pork Scrapple & Eggs and our Applewood Smoked Salmon prepared in-house. Be sure to save room for Pastry Chef, Abby Swain’s creations including her take on the S’mores Tart.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
