This is not the type of restaurant I tend to visit ( the waiter was wearing a tuxedo)...but a friend talked me into going and I am so glad I did. Classic, simple old French preparations done beautifully. I highly recommend popping into this lovely...More

My wife surprised me with my birthday dinner. First, the ambiance was comfortable, quaint and void of textaholics. Stay and enjoy the food, wonderful and person service. Don't rush the experience.

This place is classic old New York. My parents used to go there and my mother wanted to return. The food is nice, but not special and it is rather expensive for what you get. The sauces are little thick. The side vegetables lack imagination....More

I've been meaning to go to this old-fashioned bistro for years. I don't live in that part of town, but earlier this week, to celebrate my birthday, we made a reservation. I rarely give a restaurant 5 stars. The reason I did so today was...More

Lovely little restaurant inconspicuously located diagonally across from Bloomingdales. Excellent food at reasonable prices, warm and cozy atmosphere and excellent, friendly but unobtrusive service. About $50 per person for three courses without wine. We had a lovely bottle of Bordeaux for $48.

Just dropped in when the pointed pub had non unreserved table. Friendly place. Fantastic Boef Bourguignon and a tasteful Mousse de chocolate.
