Mushroom soup with mac and cheese was the best thing I have tried in NYC. It was a perfect lunch meal for a cold day. The location is also good - about 5 min walk from the central park. It was really nice that me and my boyfriend got to try several soups in small bowls before we chose the... More

Love this place. I've tried most of the soups but the chicken noodle is out of this world. Very fresh. Lines could get long around lunch but they keep things moving so don't be intimidated to wait..it's worth it. Free bag of crackers with the soup or homemade roll. Love it!

Hale and Hearty is a good choice for a quick, not fancy lunch. Decent soups, good sandwiches and some salads. Order at the counter and find a seat.

Good option in NY if you want to eat something healthy and quickly. They sell soups, salads and sandwiches, that I've found tasty (vegeterian and vegan too). Normal prices, small place and no restroom.

It was a cold day, and we're looking for something warm and hearty for lunch. As we passed by, we smelled something delicious. We walked in, and found a wide variety of soups. All made on the premises. Each of us ordered a different one and shared. All soups are served with bread or crackers. Fresh made salads are also... More

This is the place to go on a dreary or cold day. Their soups are a bit unusual in that they have real taste that is authentic. And complex in some cases. The baked potato with bacon and the vegetable soup are wonderful. They also have very nice salads and have recently opened more outlets around town. Not cheap but... More

We loved the great taste of the variety of soups available. We couldn't help but eat here several times to try a different soup or sandwich. When a sandwich wasn't available from the display then it was made fresh for us! Yum!!

Very quick service. Very small place with a limited number of seat, but they turn quickly. Two large soups and a coke was $16.00 which is cheap for the quality.
