I always enjoy the mezze platter either as a shared appetizer with friends or as a main course for myself. To me when the weather is nice to eat outside is good since noise level better.

Swordfish kabobs -- large pieces of swordfish very dry and overcooked with mediocre vegetables skewed along with them. I am done order swordfish in restaurants -- no one seems to be able to prepare it right.

A cozy Greek/Turkish restaurant in the Upper East Side. Definitely order the Doner Kebab and the homemade yoghurt. Never tasted any kebab better than this. Will definitely go back.

The food was very flavorful and easy to share! The service was great, and this was an awesome first experience with Mediterranean foods!

I used to go here quite often because the appetizers and bread are excellent but the last few times , especially at lunch service has been awful. I am not sure why this happens but I now only order fir delivery. They can serve other people as far as I am concerned but there are other choices of similar cuisine... More

I went to this restaurant for dinner and the food was extremely average. I got a salad and asked them to have it without olives and artichokes and they said ok and then still included them in the salad. The freshness of the salad was just okay but i guess in new york you get what you pay for. My... More

Our party of 3 arrived for an early Sunday dinner, so the wait was about 20-minutes. The hostess said if she called our name, and we did not answer, she would give the table away. However as the place is small, and it was cold outside, the only place to wait was in the entryway, where we had to keep... More

Beyoglu is one of the best Turkish spots I've tried in NYC and I love it for its casual sidewalk dining. It's a great place to grab a glass of wine, order the mezze platter and watch the Upper East Side walk by. Very family friendly, good specials and reliable spot.

This is a favorite with one of city-dwelling friends and I agree. The upstairs dining area opens at a specific time and you should take advantage of it if dining is your focus more than the bar. The fish was delicious and the service attentive.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
