We dined her for a "milestone" anniversary and the experience was peak. We ordered from the prix fixe menu and the duck with chanterelle mushrooms I had was possibly the best I've ever had anywhere (and I'm a big fan of duck) and my wife's lamb loin with eggplant would certainly be part of the conversation. Portions are toward the... More

Looking for fancy dinner in the Times Square area, I rapidly found reviews about Aureole, and seeing at the menu and dish images on the web convinced me within minutes. We started with very nice cocktails in the bar, which was crowded and noisy when we arrived, but with departing guests, it became more manageable and we were able to... More

Not as great as we'd hoped. Lovely service and meal was tasty, but just didn't knock our socks off. A little more attention needed...serving beef and venison on cold plates meant our mains were lukewarm by the time they arrived at the table.

When you first walk in it looks like a lot of other upscale bar/restaurants you can find all over midtown. But once you walk into the dining room, it's an entirely different story. Much more intimate and cozy. The service runs so smoothly it is almost choreographed. And the food...how many superlatives are there in the dictionary? We were a... More

We booked this restaurant as a special meal out whilst in New York for my wife's 50th birthday. We ate in the more formal Dining Room and were looking forward to a Michelin star experience. Everything about the meal was faultless it was just underwhelming. Compared to other restaurants there wasn't the complexity of flavours or finesse of plating the... More

This restaurant is a gem and is located right in the heart of time square. It was my first time and I must say I will be back. The staff was very accommodating and the food was absolutely superb. Unfortunately our waiter did not do a great job but I think he was just overworked. They have an excellent fixed... More

Just the best fine dining food and service in New York. High quality food and service. It is expensive though ($400 for 3 of us) but worth a treat.

We have visit the Aureole many years ago when it was located more north on Manhattan and loved it then. When we now tried the new location (which is not so new we found out) we were excited to try their food. It was fantastic - and not too pricey ! We started with a tuna tartar which melted in... Service was excellent: friendly and attentive. I went for a business lunch, and ordered the 2 course prix fixe with asparagus salad (delicious, small portion though) and lamb shank (very tender, fell right off the bone, great combination with the chick peas). Also tried the ginger lemonade specialty tea, which was great. Highly recommend for business lunch.

Aureole, New York is the flagship showcase for Charlie Palmer's unabashed, energetic signature Progressive American cuisine. Now under the culinary leadership of Executive Chef Marcus Gleadow-Ware, who learned the importance of the classics at London's world-renowned Savoy Hotel, the kitchen turns out elegant, simple dishes with sharply focused flavors like Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with crispy shiitake, scallions, taro root, ponzu and lavash cracker.

Aureole is located within the spectacular Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the world. Offering a range of dining options, the Liberty Room is smart and casual with walnut-topped tables and a back-lit, etched glass front bar with polished natural zinc top surface, the intimate Dining Room is designed in both lighting and texture to give off a golden glow, and The Halo Private Dining Room is wrapped with fabric panel and silver leaf walls, dotted with sculptural back-lit flame sconces. Now in its 25th year, Aureole is contemporary urban elegance.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
