The service is attentive, it seems like there are more waiters than in your typical restaurant this size. The Ash Soup, $8, available every day, has spinach, beans, chickpeas and barley, was pleasingly flavorful and resembled the flavor of lentil soup. The Baby Barg (lamb...More

Ordered the Mediterranean Guacamole, Soltani Sirlion and Lamb Shank amongst others. The breads came with...More

We frequent Persopolis since the persian food is good and its the only place in the area for this type of food. The service is never stellar but we go, it's local, easy, and reasonable. Decent food is not a reason to accept bad service....More

Persepolis was our first experience with Persian cuisine and we had a wonderful evening. Our friends had been to Persepolis previously, so they acted as our guides through a wonderfully broad menu. We ultimately decided to share a trio of salads, a trio of eggplant...More

Really well done and quite refine Persian food. The service is great, the food is fantastic. It is a bit different than bazar food, it is mor like Persian food refined and mildly deconstructed. Recommend

Persepolis Is a Persian/ Mediterranean restaurant with a dynamic atmosphere and 20 years of experience! We are located in the Upper East Side on 2nd Avenue & 73rd Street. Our chef San Sethachutkul’s goal is to serve the finest Persian Feast and the best ingredients available from local markets & Persian imports. We prepare a simple yet creative menu that highlights those ingredients. The restaurant is famous for verity of kebabs and refreshing salads and gently spiced grilled meats. The yogurt and cucumber blended with a little mint is made exceedingly well and is an ideal cool compliment to Persepolis’ rounds of Pita & Barbari bread. Our kebabs which include moist and delicious salmon or saffron chicken are served without heavy sauces. Instead they are served with a choice of four rices including an intriguing blend of Basmati rice and marinated sour cherries. Our personalized wine list truly compliments our cuisine. We also offer a full classic bar. We look forward to seeing you!
