I have only experienced McAleer's via a home delivery service but the burger that I had was SO memorable that I have not worked here for one year and I remembered it from last time I was here ! The burger I got was fresh, great quality meat and very original with its content !

We had the pleasure of being at this fun pub this past Saturday. Hannah our waitress was fabulous!! The prior reviews are correct about the wonderful staff there. We stopped in for beer and a few apps so did not experience what the menu has to offer but what we had (the wings and fries) were great! We will be... More

this is a local watering hole. The food is mixed. Some items (the chili and burgers) are real good. Others are not so great (the fish and chip). Decent beer selection- prices typical for he neighborhood. It used to be more authentic- the rugged feel of the old place was far nicer than the sterile new one.

Hands down, the most unpretentious, friendly, curtieous bar and server staff on the planet. Was skillfully served, and they were more than happy to put the maple leafs at penguins game on in NYC. The wings are good as is the turkey burger. But again...that wait staff...very friendly.

McAleer's is a small popular Irish pub on Tenth Avenue - although this bit is known historically as Amsterdam Avenue. It has a small outside eating area on the pavement, which is where we sat on a lovely sunny evening watching the world go by. I opted for their herb crusted Chicken salad with garlic, which was absolutely delicious and... More

Authentic NYC Irish bar, low key and scene-free. The food is the best in the area. Fish 'n Chips on a rainy Tuesday night makes you feel like you're back on Fishamble street in Dublin. Good crowd too. They won't beat you down for wearing a Red Sox jersey. (Don't test this theory)

Found this bar via TripAdvisor. Only 10 min walking from the museum. Happy hour is from 11 till 7. Service is very good and employees are super friendly. Local beer is good and cheap, bar is filled with locals.

We hid under the awning during a rainstorm and the bartender went out of his way to welcome us and make us feel at home. Friendly place that seems full of locals just chiilin. Good beer selection. Didn't try the food

We went for lunch and a few beers, we ordered a beer before making any food decision and we're promptly greeted by a barman that looked like he'd rather be stuffing lines of cocaine up his nose or grading a wet t-shirt competition than serving. A total fob off merchant. Tip: if you want to work in customer service its... More
