Bubby's is a great place for breakfast or brunch, and with a variety of locations around New York, you're likely to find one nearby. My favoriites are near the High Line and in TriBeCa, where if you're an early riser on weekends, you can find a table, good service and excellent, straightorward Americcan breakfast favorites prepared well, without the fancy... My family and I were visiting the Whitney museum and the lines were long so it was decided to eat at this location. Knowing that restaurants in NYC will be higher than average we took a chance here. The staff was friendly, and asked if we wanted outdoor or inside seating. The air conditioner was working well inside so we... More

We went for breakfast. It was very busy with a range of local and tourist customers and could feel a bit of a squeeze with people on next table. The butter biscuits were lovely, food was not cheap but a fair price for the portion sizes. I wanted a smaller portion so asked for egg on toast which wasn't on... More

What a find! I had been nagging my husband for some real American pancakes since we had arrived in New York and he didn't disappoint when he found bubbys. A real gem and just around the corner from the ghostbusters fire house Which was a major win for both of us. The place was busy when we arrived but we... More

Sunday brunch at Bubby's was perfection. Despite the wait for a table and a very crowded restaurant, the staff goes out of their way to ensure you are greeted with a smile and well taken care. From the moment the biscuits are placed on the table you know you are about to enjoy the most delicious organic comfort food. Large... More

The food was very tasty, cheesy grits, smoked bacon, poached eggs with smoked salmon and blueberry lemonade. Very large portions large enough to share. However, don't expect to have a conversation. Very noisy hard to hear waitstaff and people at your table.

The concierge at the W Hotel downtown New York recommended Bubby's in Tribeca. We had a short wait for breakfast/brunch and were offered to help ourselves to fresh lemonade while we waited on the gliders outside. Once seated, we ordered fresh orange juice, the breakfast special with eggs, bacon, toast and cheese grits and the pancake platter with bacon, eggs... More

This place is my absolute favourite! The pancakes with a side of crispy bacon and maple syrup cannot be beat! Best pancakes in the world I think! Have also had dinner and drinks... Really great quality and flavours! Not a fan of the egg breakfast dishes but I find that in general when I'm in the states so must just... More

After walking the High Line, these hungry visitors chose the right place for lunch. The food was great and lots to choose from. We had a hamburger and a tuna sandwich with some of the best fries, not to mention a most delicious home made root beer soda. The restaurant was busy, obviously a popular restaurant. The staff was great.... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
