I love their food even though the portions have become much smaller. Very tasty. I have not had anything I don't like except lamb which I don't eat. I think that's off the menu now. Combos (meat or veg) are a great way to get a tasters tour.

The food was very different from what I usually have. The food is cheap and the waiter will ask you whether you want to share your food with others. Tried the vegetarian dishes. Must try

Dinner with my SO. We had a full meal with a variety of vegetarian entrees. Ethiopian food has a unique flavor and always seems to have an acidic aftertaste. The bread is a critical part of the experience. I though it was good though the Ethiopian restaurant on the Upper West Side was better.

We stumbled upon here looking for Jazz in the Village. A new experience and very good food. We got the vegetarian combo and the chicken dish. You get a big piece of what looks like a large crepes and eat with your fingers. Try it!!

Been eating here for years and have gone up and down with them depending on the chef! Right now I'm loving it. Great flavors, so delicious and spicy without being overly hot. Meat or veg combo is a great deal and way to check more flavors. I'm not vegetarian but have eaten all vegetarian here because the flavors are so... More

We stumbled upon the restaurant by accident and were pleasantly surprised. We asked the waiter to just get us some of her recommendations. Everything was delicious! If you want to try something new, this is the place

Meskerem is the first place I've ever had Ethiopian cuisine & so far I haven't found a place that can compete. I highly recommend the Tibs Wat, Beef Sambosas, & a glass of Tej. Every single trip to NY, I have to make a stop here.

the ethiopian cuisine, though is quite similar to indian food, is served well by this restaurant and is an unique experience. The bread is made of rice and all the vegetables are served on the same. tasty food and excellent service.

My first experience with Ethiopian cuisine. A couple blocks from Washington Square Park, we went down the stairs from the street and into a little, unpretentious place where we were quickly greeted by the friendly waitress. My wife chose a vegetarian option while I ordered a chicken/egg dish. Both were heavily spiced, which isn't to say hot. We easily learned... More

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I loved it. The restaurant is pretty basic not much pomp and show but the hosts are very friendly and helpful. We placed our order based on their suggestions and were not disappointed. We ordered Domo Wat which is curried spiced chicken and a vegetarian platter which has an assortment of... More
