So they are famous for their in-house cured meats like prosciutto. My wife loved her duck breast. I loved my salmon. One of our adult children had a homemade pasta entree. Service was very good. Prices were reasonable but not cheap. Cocktails were excellent. I’ll...More

You know when you sit down at a restaurant and look at the menu and think, hmmm, I could eat everything on this menu and be happy, that is that kind of place this is. We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a...More

I had the braised beef ravioli (with spinach) - delicious. Very rich flavor and you could tell the pasta was homemade. My date had the fish and it was also quite flavorful. The risotto balls were above average. The octopus was kind of slimey but...More

On a warm September evening, the back garden area was a great place to be. Service was prompt and smiling, despite the T-shirts with the odd slogan "Shut up and eat" done in English and Italian. The bread, as others have noted, may indeed need...More

Crispo is one of those places that I'd rather not write about because it is a gem and like all gems, is best kept secret. This is especially so when you consider it your "local" which I do when in NYC. My main reason is...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

Description
Chef and owner Frank Crispo opened Crispo Restaurant in the heart of Chelsea and the West Village in the summer of 2002. Our 150 seats create a lively, warm and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy our signature Northern Italian cuisine. We were nominated in 2002 for "Best New Restaurant" by Time Out magazine, and received an award for "Best Spaghetti Carbonara" by New York Magazine in 2004. Food is not our only passion. Our extensive wine list covers the major regions of Italy and several other countries beyond. For enthusiasts, we have a full bar stocked with grappa, amaros, aperitifs and digestifs. Come join us for dinner in our main dining room, or in our outdoor garden space. It remains open year long. With this newest addition to Crispo Restaurant you will truly feel like you are not in New York.
