The service was sensational as were the trimmings. My saltimbocca was most unusual; had a thick gravy (not very authentic) My wife ordered fish from the specials; the fish was very bland was $75 + tax; cheapest wine was $65 plus tax. Very simple food, not worth the outrageous charges. There must be better Italian restaurants in Greenwich Village

Our party of 6 was lucky enough to get a table on Saturday night. The restaurant is comfy small- but not tiny. I'd prefer the lighting to be a tad brighter so as not to use my iPhone flashlight to read a menu- but no big deal. Cocktails- wine - dinner-real Italian dishes you'd expect in NYC, all fabulous! I'll... More

It is a crowded place and after tasting the food you understand it is well worth it. Make sure you reserve in advance. We were 5 people and had a taste of meat, fish, pasta and risotto and I can truly say you can't do any better on any of the dishes. Great service.

Went with my son. Wonderful service with George and a superb meal. Pasta appetizer with light red sauce with sweet Italian sausage was perfect and the lamb should be commended for supplying great chops. Tiramisu along with grappa and limencello topped the evening off.

Just south of Central Park and it appeared that many locals were there. Tourists stood out like a sore thumb just by the way they dressed. ( Including Me!) The food was excellent and for the most part, service was very good with a few lapses. I would recommend it very highly and will go back the next time Im... More

Wow! What a wonderful meal! We had the bacon wrapped scallops to start, which were excellent, followed by the special lobster ravioli in vodka sauce and truffle mushroom risotto. All was excellent. Loved the appetizers they brought out to start with, and the grappa they served at the end. The atmosphere is quaint and cute as well. Will definitely become... More

Had a great meal here once again! I love coming to Il Mulino. They give you enough food to eat before you even have a chance to look at the menu. I love the fried zucchini and the cheese. This place is a classic!

What a typical Italian experience , with many waiters that swiftly take your orders and look to provide top quality service. The bruschetta are fantastic, with complementary eggplant and salami . We enjoyed the veal limoni and a arabiatta pasta . Both meals were the very best. The cheese cake to finish off the meal was moist and perfectly prepared.... More

Our reservation which was supposedly made by the concierge of the Carlyle didn't exist, so this wasn't a good start! However the manager made an excellent recovery in short order and found us a nice table despite them being packed out. We were soon served with great garlic bread, bruschetta and salami and sipping a bottle of Gaia. Excellent ravioli... More

Whilst in NY on a short break from London meeting our friends from California, we decided to have dinner here. My friends and I were really excited, as we had heard raving reviews about the restaurant. As we sat down in the overly dark, cramped room, we were given the "appetisers" immediately, before our drinks orders were even taken. Strange...... More
