We were there for a birthday dinner, they did their best to accommodate all guests, as like most New York restaurants it is narrow and small. Food was amazing, I recommend the Truffle Gnocchi. Prices were fair.

Came here for brunch and were the second people in the door right after they opened. By the time we finished eating, the place was packed out. They only had one waiter working but he was super efficient. I was told by those who know more than that the decor was "super cute". All I noticed was the excellent fried... More

Spending over two weeks in the NY, Boston and Maine area eating out once or twice a day gave us the chance to try a lot of varying restaurants, cafes and bistros and this one really stuck out in the memories of that trip. It's tapas sized dishes of good culinary ideas, mainly based on classic American food. The four... More

The portions are a bit small, but the variety of the offerings is amazing for the size of the place. Sitting inside is like being in a small bistro or cafe in Paris, with tables along both sides of the narrow dining room. The service is personal and exceptionally friendly without going over board. The mimosas we were given with... More

Tink's is such a great little place. It's hard to imagine coming to NYC and not going to a place just like this---and if you're going to go to a place like this, go to Tink's! I couldn't say that there isn't anything bad about any meal I've had here (they were all GREAT), but the brunch is TO DIE... More

I really can't say enough great things about Tinks! We recently had my daughter's Bridal Brunch there and everything was perfect! We worked with Isabella and David to make this a memorable afternoon and they went above and beyond to make it happen. From the first time I emailed them to the day of the shower they were so kind,... More

Went here for dinner with friends and was really impressed with the quality and taste of the food. You get small plates of american style tapas to share between you. My friend and i shared the macaroni cheese with mushrooms, deep fried pretzel crusted chicken, seared tuna sliders and shrimp and grits. Would definitely visit again!

This was a perfect spot for a late brunch. They were accommodating with my healthy requests. The coffee, service and atmosphere made for a refreshing break in our day.

Fantastic small plates to share with tasty vegetarian options. Extensive and whimsical beer selection and eclectic but serious wine choices. A friendly staff complete a place well worth visit.

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
