The guys behind the counter were friendly. I bought one Napoleon and one Eclair. It was $14.00. Ridiculous!!!! The Eclair literally had NO FLAVOR. It was beautiful but tasted like cardboard. The Napoleon was pretty good but for the price I was very disappointed and will never go there again. I didn't try their sandwiches or other items and they... More

Premier Cafe at the corner of 7th Avenue & 55th Street is a good alternative dining option for tourists and the guests at nearby hotels such as Sheraton Times Square Hotel, London Hotel, Parker le Meridien Hotel. Premier Cafe has deli set up on the ground floor and restaurant set up on the upper floor. The ground floor deli section... More

I was turned away on a Saturday morning because they would not seat me as I was only by myself. When I asked if I could have the open booth that was set for two. I was told no, because they need it for four people. I ended up leaving because they would not serve me, one person. I have... More

Really speedy service ....... only had to wait a few minutes for breakfast. Reasonable prices and large portions. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We returned several times and would recommend to anyone wanting a quick bite to eat before heading out to the sites

My husband and I took an anniversary trip to NYC the weekend of 9/11. We had done the hop on/off bus tour and we were hungry so we got off and ate at Premier Cafe. It seems like the quintessential New York Deli; neon lights, choice after choice of deli meats, cheese and other goodies! It was about 8:30pm so... More

The quality for price ratio here is way off balance - everything is overpriced for the quality. My companion and I each had burgers - 1 the vegetarian, I, the turkey: both were below average and because we didn't order the DELUXE versions, they came like slabs of grey on open cardboard: we had to ask for a piece of... We overpaid $10 for one cheesecake slice. It is overpriced and speculative. You can find same cake slice at any cafe for 5-6 dollars at neighboor cafe. The man at counter was rude and blatant when I ordered hot tea water cup. He poured and splashed water cup to me because I did not give tips for their poor blatant... More

I went here with a colleague because we wanted to find a typical manhattan pastrami sandwich for lunch. The cafe is clean and bright, and even at peak lunchtime the service was pleasant (not smiling and joking, but pleasant) and quick. The large counter is full of fresh looking sandwiches, wraps, cakes and pastries. I had the "lean hot pastrami... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
