Good value with large portion of minced lamb and rice with a bit of chopped lettuce near the midtown Hilton hotel on the avenue of America (6th ) for $7 cash. Next time ask for onions and red and white sauce

Arguably the best meal in New York under 10 dollars! Great combination of carbs and protein keeps anybody on the street longer.

A carefully constructed, artfully promoted tourist trap. Absolutely no better than any other Halal place in NY and because of the crowds and their need to pump out food quickly, it is in fact much worse. Avoid this place at all costs.

This place always had a queue of at least 20 - 30 people across all of their stands and the queue was always consisting of different people e.g Taxi drivers, tourists and locals etc. We liked the chicken with rice tray which was most popular and was excellent. We stayed at the Hilton Hotel so we could see how busy... More

Thought I would try it since I'd heard so much about them. Good street food and cheap. When I went the line was quick.

Had the wraps as we had heard a lot about Halal guys. The service was very good and it was nice to see how the food was prepared and packed in an easy to eat manner in front of you. Prices were reasonable. The food was ok

Great street food, rice with chicken is the dish to get unless someone prefers wraps. There is no sitting space as it is at the street corner. But there are few benches around to grab a seat. There are 3-4 stalls with same name, But clearly the original one had all the customers and was significantly busier than others.

I've eaten chicken platters & wraps from Halal Guys before and they are good. Went to a different HG cart today and one of the guys used the same gloves to: unload food from a truck, unload a trash can which was leaking what looked like puke from the same truck and give his friend a hug. All using the... More

A very hearty meal. Very flavourful rice and meats (we tried chicken and gyro), and lots of tasty white and hot sauces to go with. Love their set up.. queues may be long but they are very efficient. They have the whole junction at 6th and 53rd covered!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
