All in all it was pretty good. The menu was a little odd and maybe outdated. The service was spotty. The food was pretty good and the portions generous. We enjoyed it.

Circo is a fun decorated restaurant with serious food. I had their four course Chefs tasting menu which was beautifully presented and served

The food is not that bad but definitely nothing special. A special negative note for the cannoli: cannoli are made with ricotta, not that kind of cream they use! Service is ok, although a bit slow. You have to ask for things few times. However the worst thing is the place: so, super, incredibly ugly. It wants to recall a... More

I was searching for an Italian restaurant near my hotel and this place came up as the closest one. Boy, am I glad it did! What a wonderful atmosphere - a fairly small, intimate restaurant that sports circus-themed decorations (including one that rotates around the center of the restaurant). The bar is very well equipped and the staff very friendly.... More

Picked it for the really fine menu. The service was friendly and the tables were far enough apart. We had first salmon tartar and tortelli. Then salmon roast vegetables and Cornish hen "mattone" ie under a brick. Both dishes perfectly cooked. Desert, orange budino and apple tart. Pastry obviously hand made. Found a fine Arneis Blange for $52. My husband... More

On a busy weekday night in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, getting a table--especially when going solo--can be a feat unto itself. So I was immediately grateful that one was available but couldn’t manage to mask my frown when I saw that it was (a) next to the kitchen doorway (b) flanked by a couple whose chatter could probably be... A dreary, rainy day was vastly improved by a lively lunch w friends at Circo. Centrally located, marvelous staff and a solid kitchen. Lunch prix fixe is a great deal. There are light options, marvelous pastas, tasty pizzas and more substantial fare. The veal is excellent as is the chicken. The fish options can be shared. Really lovely afternoon. Great... More

This restaurant was very close to our hotel so after a busy day we just strolled round to it. The manager greeted us and was very friendly and welcoming. The tables were well spaced and because it was the Thanksgiving weekend it wasn't full. There was a good choice of Italian pastas and also fish and meat. One of us... More

Went with a groupon for the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Great service, awesome ambience-its a beautiful place! The waiters were great and very knowledgeable about the wines. The food was great, and they were very accommodating to my food allergy. Overall A+!

This Tuscan Italian restaurant is steps from City Center. I was not able to get a reservation through Open Table, so prior to our matinee, I walked it and was able to make it for 5 pm. Our show let out early, and we tried to be seated, but they were not ready and we had to wait by the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
