We met our daughter here for a late lunch. Service was very quick, friendly and helpful. Our food was delicious, healthy and unique. We enjoyed a Pacifico with our shrimp tacos which were on the spicy side. We also tried crispy fish tacos, and some super tasty corn esquites. The restaurant was bright and had a fun atmosphere. Great atmosphere. Always a crowd there but turn around time is quick. The fried fish tacos were amazing especially with all the hot sauces. Def a great spot or a date or with some friends. If you have a large party make a reservation.

Tacombi Fonda Nolita brings authentic Mexico City street food to the Big Apple. Tacombi offers Mexico City style small plates, tacos, soups, beverage, and beer drinks. The setting is reminiscent of the commons of a Mexico City "vecindad". With metal tables featuring backgammon or checkers. You can almost hear the beads of dominoes striking these tables as in Mexico City.... More

After a visit to a Late Show and a massive snow storm we stumbled in this restaurant. It smelled delicious as soon as we walked in, so my expectations were positive. Our server offered guacamole as soon as we sat, and it was very good, lemony, tangy, tasty. You will order your Tacos by writing them down on a paper... More

There are a number of options to choose from so you get to try different tacos. You get to choose as many as you wish to eat. My favorite were the barbacoa tacos. The atmosphere and layout are nice and the staff were really helpful.

This has great authentic Mexican food if that's to your taste. Unfortunately I don't and even though the waiter said most items weren't spicy - they were to my taste. But the rest of our party really enjoyed it and I settled with some tacos and beer which i was very happy with - hence the 4 stars It is... More

Visit tacombi again after been here two years ago. Still this place have really good food and still the prices are decent. Don't expect a classy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐-restaurant environment...it looks like a old car garage but it's works more than fine with me when the food is the focus. Start with a platter of nachos and guacamole. I recommend to try... More

Stopped in here for a quick meal after arriving in the city from a long morning of travel. The tacos were all great. The fish was fresh and lightly battered. The Barbacoa was very tender with great flavor. A full order of guacamole and chips was perfect for 2 people. I would stop in here again for sure.

Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
