Went to this bakery while staying in the Upper West side and it was exactly what I expected from a bakery in Manhattan. Tasteful decor throughout, friendly staff, and really great tasting sweet treats. Try the German Chocolate!

The cupcake is plain, nothing special. The icing, they just change the color. They don't even bother to make it nice because they sell everything anyway just for the famous name they have. Very expensive for what you get. There are many other better places to get a good cake!

This is just a below average bakery existing of the hype it had back when it actually was good. We got a bunch of things to share at the Ave of America location-- assortment of cupcakes, a slice of the Oreo cake, brownie, and 2 puddings and they were all disappointing.. the banana pudding is about the best of the... Stopped here because I found it tripadvisor! Actually stopped for pb&j cupcakes but didn't have any so I got the next best thing, pb&j cake! It was so good! My girlfriend had a piece of chocolate cake and she is much of a sweet eater but loved it! The staff was friendly and very helpful! I would go here again,... More

We stopped in at ~9pm and it was not very crowded but the service was still slow and disorganized. The slice of cake I bought was good and my daughter enjoyed her cheesecake. They were sold out of the famous banana pudding. Most of the employees seemed engaged with each other more than the customers. The people in front of... More

We went to Magnolia bakery on a whim. It turned out to be a great choice. The banana pudding was excellent. We also had a red velvet cake and a coconut cake. Both were yummy definitely worth the stop

Certainly not bad by any means - but for the price the cupcakes were t anything special. I think people go here to go here - and again, not bad...... but I wouldn't overly recommend or go out of my way to hit this place up.

We visited the bakery on a Thursday at around 11am, it was fairly crowded inside but we were served quickly. Despite the huge range of colorful cakes and baked good, i had seen a few recommendations to try the banana pudding. I ordered a small size in the classic and chocolate flavor and got them to take out. The combination... More

There were a lot of goodies at this bakery (iced and hot coffee, cookies, cakes, cheesecakes, and mini pies) that I didn't try but based on how many people were lined up, there must be some good tasting items. I tried the vanilla bean cheesecake, it was ok but nothing spectacular. The place is extremely small, they should probably think... More

We had to try the Red Velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting, at $3.75 for one, it was well worth it. Even though it was almost 10pm and they were near closing the cake was fresh, moist and absolutely delicious. Lots of brownies and other cakes to choose from. Baking aprons, oven gloves etc can also be purchased. Well worth... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
