Went in to this place without any previous experience in Korean BBQ. Servers were helpful with menu and selection of food and the process. Very tasty and there was lots of food. We will definitely be back.

The Korean restaurant I wanted to go at 6:15 p.m. near the eastern edge of 32nd Street, off of 5th Avenue, had no availability for any more walk ins. So I just walked around and found this restaurant and decided to give it a try and was happy that I did. The place is much larger than it appears when... More

We had a delicious dinner here. Had to specify that we did not eat meat. The wait staff was VERY gracious in helping us choose a fish stew and vegetable noodle dish that did not have meat. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Excellent service.

Our first visit to Muk Eun Ji will also be out last. The service was awful. We got seated promptly at a table in the back which felt more like a closet. We then waited for a waiter to take our drink order for over 20 minutes, he appeared just seconds before I intended to walk out. It was another... More

I got impression that owner or chef has changed when I visit there 4-5 months ago. Menu has changed and tasted different.

Thought this place was very good, I am not an expert on Korean food but have been to a handful of places throughout NYC and this place has been the best. It's located in Korea Town in NYC which is part of the fun. It may be only two blocks long but you feel like you just walked into another... More

We went for BBQ but also wanted to try the restaurant's namesake, the aged kimchi. Also, the restaurant was recommended on the Kimchi Chronicles blog, and I love that show. There was no other real reason for choosing this place over the other Korean restaurants on 32nd St. We eat authentic Korean food all the time, so I was a... More

We wanted to try Korean, we never had it before. We ordered some starters not knowing what would come. Kim Chi is an acquired taste and we did not like it at all. We had ordered mains and they came covered in kim chi. So, it was our fault, we now know better and would not try it again. The... More

We had a pretty good Korean meal at this place... I had a Barbecue chicken (but I didn't get to cook it b/c it was only for one person) and my wife had something I forgot but it was pretty good also... Maybe what I would want to mention is that a couple sat very close to us and the... More

Looking for a Korean restaurant, among the many situated in the area, went for Muk Eun Ji, where my friend and I enjoyed a barbecue meal. We took different kinds of beef and shared. They serve lots of vegetable side salads, and the waiter cooked the meat for us. Was delicious and reasonably priced ($66 for two).

Thank silenzio

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
