Very good service, polite and a bit too much detail when explaining options such as specials. But the bill for 3 to have burgers and fries, no alcohol, came to almost $100 with 20% tip. That's way too much for burgers, though it is a very nice atmosphere. I did not expect to pay same as Five Guys at such... More

Came in search of a decent burger joint. Had the "Bash Burger," which was cooked well and very tasty. Fries were fresh and nicely cooked too. Really this should be a 3.5 stars. The interior was unimaginative but if you're in the neighborhood it's worth a try.

It's not the cheapest burger I've ever had, but it's one of the absolute best. When you want to splurge, get The Double Darrel, and get it with bacon, avocado, and mushrooms; you won't have any regrets. The fries are also completely perfect. I had neither a beer nor wine, but their selection was good, and I can vouch for... More

Great burgers, prompt polite service, reasonable bill. Highly recommended. I particularly like that when I ask for medium rare that is how it comes.

We picked up our friend Sherry uptown and felt like trying a new place for dinner. My daughter having an apartment right across the street at NYU told us to try Burger and Barrel. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but the charming hostess seated us right away. The place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying... More

Great place to enjoy happy hour. I had the "Bash" burger and my wife had the chicken lolli pops. Both were very tasty. And, a good beer to wash everything down. Can't be beat!!

We went here for lunch while shopping in Soho at the recommendation of the retail staff at the Coach Soho store while we were waiting for them to package up a purchase. The place is small...like most restaurants in the downtown area, but they did have a decent sized bar area. The burgers were delicious. Like beyond just good...they were... More

I actually found this restaurant while searching for Other Half Brewing beer on tap. Unfortunately they don't have it on tap anymore but I stayed and had a Brooklyn Brewery IPA and it was delicious. I followed the beer up with the classic burger and then the in house ice cream sandwich which was fantastic! I'd go back for sure!

Across the street from the beloved Angelika theater, a burger bar with a decidedly upscale bent. Artisan burger, wine flights, fancy cocktails and excellent service. Our tuna tartare appetizer was excellent, the burgers were great and the desserts were also very well-executed. Very long wine list, but also a well-chosen list of wines by the glass. Given the location and... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
