Smallish place with tables that are either too low or too high. Wine bar. Decent vegetarian options. Dips - hummus and Greek yogurt - were delicious. Came not with pita or pita chips, but some toasted bread not unlike Wonderbread. Lamb kebab was the best...More

This is a neighborhood gem and I keep coming back because the food is great, the service is warm and personal, and it's a perfect place for friends to get together. I'll be back again soon!

By chance I happened upon this place. I was hungry and needed an immediate drink. I sat at the bar and was greeted by one of the owners. His wine knowledge was vast and he was proud to give me a tour of his drink...More

Ok, letting the cat out of the bag: Lallisse is that underrated local spot the rest of the city hasn't found out about yet. I've been coming here for a couple of years - it's a warm, classy, sunny corner place with an understated botanical...More

Dined here before attending a show at Madison Square Gardens as only a 10 minute walk away. I have to say we were slightly disappointed with the choice of food available as it lacked a real authentic touch and was very mainstream in comparison to...More

We came here because our concierge recommended Penelope across the street but there ended up being a 1 1/2 hour wait there, so we stumbled upon Lallisse...and couldn't have been happier. The server was very friendly and didn't mind that we had 6 people (including...More

I love the Turkish flair here. While standard American fare is fully available, I adored the Mediterranean plate where I got to pick and choose among roasted red peppers, olives, Greek yogurt, eggs, and Turkish cheese. Of course, how can one resist butter and honey...More

Description
Lallisse is one of the select wine bars in NYC, a haven for real wines, naturally made without cosmetics or chemistry, sprung from the vineyards and ancient cultures of the Mediterranean. It's a place to enjoy simple, soulful and sustainable Mediterranean food and talk for hours over organic, biodynamic and sustainable wines. Lallisse offers 100 types of wines - approximately 40 by the glass options. Lallisse's unique selection features wines from France, Italy, Spain and the Fertile Crescent - Eastern and Western Anatolia (Turkey), Greece, Israel and Lebanon. After spending extensive hours of wine tasting and going through hundreds and hundreds of bottles we created a list consisting of artisan wines produced by old and historic estates of the Mediterranean run by small organic producers. It's simply the stuff the locals drink! In the spirit of friendship and love for the life, food and wines of the Mediterranean, we happily invite you to do the same.
