Shannon, the waitress, was great. All her suggestions were fantastic. She was smiling and cheerful and really seemed to care about how we were doing. The starter special with buffalo mozzarella and Prosciutto ham was so tasty. Our pizzas were incredible. The dessert was amazing and the Sangria really good. In short we could use a lot of superlatives about... More

We were looking for a place to eat a nice Italian meal near the Port Authority before heading out of New York. Myself and my wife were starving but wanted something tasty. Capizzi's was perfect. Its frontage was understated but on the inside it was lovely. An old style Italian with friendly staff. The salads and pizza's were first class.... More

Trip Advisor ratings led us to Capizzi's for a NYE dinner before seeing Phish at MSG. WOW! WOW! WOW! Great pizza, freshest ingredients, awesome salads, delicious Tiramisu. Loved the waitstaff and decor. Owners daughter gave us a nice history of the place and her family. We will return!

We read all of the reviews and had high expectations. I can't remember when I've had better pizza. As expected they were busy and we had to wait a bit to be seated, but the pizza and the salad were certainly worth the brief wait.

We had a great dinner at Capizzi's, and were very happy that our hotel's concierge had suggested it. We ordered a margherita pizza and added ricotta cheese, panetta, and whole roasted garlic. The flavors and freshness of our customized pizza were delicious, and their cannolis were some of the best I've ever had. (I only wish they hadn't run out... More

Everything about Capizzi was great. Pizza like you get in Italy, Some of the best teramisu I have ever had. The servers were so friendly and fun; just a wonderful experience.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
