Vapiano was recommended to me by a NY local, so my friends and I decided to go and try it for ourselves. Upon arrival you are given a swipe card which you scan whenever you order something from each of the stations such as salads, pasta, drinks etc. I ordered some pasta which they cook as you watch. The pasta... More

Excellent food and nice atmosphere. Good menu and mouth-melting deserts. Only weird thing was that we had to pay the bill in the middle of our lunch. The bill was 100 dollars so far. Never happened before, we have travelled both in Europe and US.

The food was reasonably good but honestly the chef who cooked my pasta and the staff here seemed like they'd rather be anywhere but there. Honestly it was really uncomfortable. But the food is good and cheap.

Dinner here was excellent. We loved the salads, pizza, pasta and risotto. Everything made fresh right before your eyes with all ingredients customizable by you. Great concept and great execution.

* One of my favourite restaurants in London so it was a given that we were going to visit the NYC location! * Not a very busy evening so we were served fast and found a table even faster. * Ordered the shrimp and tomato sauce with linguini pasta (so delicious - forgotten its name on the menu!) * Clean... I was visiting New York from India, and I absolutely loved this place. I was meeting two of my best friends int he US and we just enjoyed the food here! Being, vegetarian, my choices were limited, however that did not stop me from having one of the best pastas I have had!

This restaurant or self-service food, had a different idea that can still be improved. The food is delicious and fresh, the portions maybe very small. Very good service of tables, cutlery and napkins of very good quality and excellent cleaning, without personal service, the technology in this case does not give speed to the service, since it is necessary to... ...with freshly prepared food from various self service stations. We had a pizza, a pasta and a salad and all was really tasty. Good wine list and a full bar, nice, relaxed atmosphere in a generous space.
