I like this place for the theater district and plan to come back. Loved the homemade pasta, As with many NY Italian restaurants thought the portions are huge. Good, attentive service. Breack basket seemed a little stale.

Quite anonymous fr.o.m. the outside. If we did not know about it, we had passed by. We nearly cried happytears for the veal cruda as a starter. The Pici, pasta with pork ragu, was perfect and the 'bicerin' as dessert, and we were in heaven. We are Quite fastidious, but we highly recommend Sorella.

Unfortunately we were very alone this rainy tuesday night so our impression is that if you ad ambiance and lots of guests, this must be a super nice place to come back to. We were well taken care of, the kitchen is very skilled and ambitious. And we had a great meal.

Go here every time I am in NY and have never been disappointed. Nothing awe inspiring but good value and service and always something new to try.Wine I ordered was out so server recommended a substitute which was great. Hope the lack of business was due to languid Friday in August. Would hate to see it shut down.

My 3 children took me here to celebrate my 75th birthday and it was a terrific experience. The food is different but delicious and well presented. We tried lost of plates and shared and all agreed that everything was excellent. I can recommend this place very highly. We will be back.

Terrific little restaurant that is a true hidden gem. Loved the cocktail called the Honeypot. The fried broccoli is delicious. The waitress the best ever.

From all of the reviews i read i thought i was in for a memorable evening. We were led into a small dinning area in the rear ,very dark ... In fact it was so dark that we had to use our smartphones to light up the menues. When you open up the menu the first thing you see is... More

This joint, where the East Village meets Chinatown, was the revelation of a weekend of eating Manhattan. More memorable than three far more renowned eateries, it's a place to sample many small plates and smart, hip wines. Try the broccoli misto, or the pork ragu, and just keep going - we didn't find a clunker in the lot. And don't... More

What a wonderful restaurant find in an unusual neighborhood between Little Italy and Chinatown. Sorella is a contemporary Italian restaurant with a delicious menu. I had a tangy arugula and speck salad that was fresh and flavorful....I also had a taste of the crispy sweetbreads and pork rilette which were equally tasty. The charcuterie plate of various meats was excellent.... More

Sorella is the "sister" conceived on a journey throughout Northern Italy. We found a love for Piedmont's cafe culture that insisted we bring the feeling back to New York. The small villages and cities of Piedmont were the only places in the world we found that we loved even remotely as much as we love Manhattan. Sorella is our family. We are connected not by blood, but by a mutual love for tasty food and wine. Artisanal products of every sort have a permanent place in our cozy, sparkly lower east side home. We built our home on memories, inside jokes, and as much friggin wine paraphernalia as possible. We thrive to make every client a member of our little family...
