"Hole in the wall" finds are nice, but this "hole in the ground" on St. Marks Place in NYC near Green which Village in Astor Place will be a delicious turn on traditional desserts. While the appearance of these desserts look a little manufactured and artsy, the flavors are great. The function of a satisfying portion with great, rich bites,... More

2 of us got here around 6:30pm and got a table immediately. We ordered the 3 signature dishes. All of them were yum but my personal favorite was the chocolate green tea lava cake (but then again, I like anything green tea!). The place was packed by 8pm after which there was a wait for 10-15 minutes to get a... More

Stopped at this place on the East Village tour with Ziggy. We tried 4 different dishes; Matcha Lava, Chocolate forest, The Harvest and The Cookie Camp. One word: Sinful !!! They were all delicious, I personally preferred The Harvest and the Cookie camp but all 4 were excellent. I would return for sure !

Found this little gem on our second last night in NYC. We had to order takeaway as there was no where free to sit and eat. It gets very busy. We ordered the Golden Toast and the Milky Puff so yummy and fresh.

I am a pasty chef and I love tasting desserts from all over the world. This was delicious! However they had no lightbulbs... we walked from afar to get there to drink those and they had none. The girl at the cashier wasn't particularly nice. However the guy preparing the drinks and dessert was amazing an attentive! Cudos* Would definitely... More

Five of us went last night, we have four desert tapas $34.95, five drinks ($24) and two light bulb glass ($2.5*2). The bill is $95, they added tips automatically. No matter how I calculate, including tax and tips, the max should be less than $82. We did not pay attention to the bill in the store, we paid $95. I... More

My girlfriend lives for dessert. Mostly chocolate. We decided to visit Spot after a dinner. I've never seen her happier than sitting in this dessert bar eating three different desserts. Hands-down, this place is a must-visit.

One of our Favorite Dessert places. The Desserts are creative and delicious! One of the rare places that also offer Nutella Hot Chocolate! Perfect hot drink for cold days. Mmmm.... Be warned that the waiting line is usually very long (doesn't matter if it's cold or hot outside or what time of the day). The wait is so worth it... More

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
