We, fortunately, made reservations for The Glass House Tavern prior to a Wednesday matinee...so glad that we did, as there is no way we would have ever gotten seated in this restaurant without them! That's our first suggestion....reservations are an absolute must! Since this was our first visit to this establishment, we had no idea as to the layout of... More

I almost hate to write this review because it's already difficult to get a table at the Glass House Tavern! I've eaten there half a dozen times in the last year or so, always lunch before a matinee and my friends and I are always happy to eat there. Not only is the food delicious, beautifully presented, graciously served, but... More

Went here with my husband for a quiet dinner thinking we were going to have tavern food. The food was amazingly presented in a fine dining cuisine detail.

If you are around Times Square chances are that at some point you are going to want to get into some sort of a shell from all the hustle and bustle. Right on 47 Street towards the West, from the corner of the W hotel on Times Square you'll easily find this bar/restaurant. I admit I have never been here... More

Four of us went here on Saturday, after being here many times before. At 12 o'clock a waiter came to take our order and asked if we were going to the theater. We said yes and were told that he would make sure we got quick service. (One member of our party has difficulty walking quickly so we needed extra... More

Food: A We both had the prix fixe dinner. I had the crab cake, which was delicious, and the mushroom tagliatelle. The pasta was a bit drenched in oil down the bottom, but the flavors were divine. She had the endive salad and the steak option, and the steak was truly exceptional. Drinks: A+ The muddled fig old fashioned is... More

It was fine. Food was ok. Service was slow and the restaurant was empty. I'm not sure we'll go back. It got great reviews which is why we were disappointed.

We went after the theater crowd went to their shows and had lots of privacy. Food was very good and the price fixe theater option was welcome and taken advantage of by several in our party. Shrimp risotto app was very good, as was both the hanger steak and filet. Roasted corn soup was positively reviewed by others in our... More

Went with a party of 7 for a lunch. Glass house came highly recommended by our concierge.. it did not disappoint as we were all famished.. chicken Milanese was enormous and delightful.. shrimp risotto was divine, salmon was cooked to perfection. We would not hesitate to return.. service was great as it was a quiet Tuesday for lunch

You feel a great energy when you walk into the Glass House Tavern. The decor is soothing and warm and truly makes the customer feel welcome. The prompt, friendly service is delightful and the food is incredible. Executive Chef Craig Cupani has created a contemporary American menu that sets this restaurant apart from the other choices in the neighborhood. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the emphasis here and the results are fantastic.

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
