We came here for brunch. They offer a great deal, 5 drinks for $25 which is nice. The food we ordered was quite good, but the portions were a tad small. We left feeling a bit hungry. Also, they don't serve fries or beef burgers (just turkey burgers). Would come back though

We were heading to Carl Schurz Park for a change of scenery and was looking for a good place for brunch. I did an internet search and come up with The Lousie. The restaurant is super cute, the decor is more bar then restaurant but wonderfully casual. The server was lovely and gave us a table right by the window,... More

Short list of beers on tap and by the can/bottle. Average hummus and chips -- limited bar food menu. Friendly bar keep; acceptable cleanliness. Many better choices in the neighborhood.

Adorable place, with a cool downtown vibe. Casual environment but with a little something extra than your everyday neighborhood eatery. Tried some items from their new menu and was really impressed. My friend and I shared the Creamy tomato soup, we both liked it, tasted homemade and fresh. The Pom Mint Farro salad was surprisingly my favorite thing I ordered.... More

The Louise is an overlooked no frills restaurant in a less trodden section of Yorkville. I like this place and might even give them "gastropub" status - the dishes on the limited menu are good value, using high quality ingredients, well put together, without going overboard to impress. There is a good selection of microbrews, although they don't always have... More

Yes, this place is cute. It's got a lot of things going for it including location and having a rustic pseudo-European feel and nice service. The crepes were disappointing though. I have had better, even here in the states. It's a lot of flourish in the presentation to cover up the fact that they don't cook it long enough to... More

Yorkville Creperie is near Carl Shurz Park as well as Gracie Mansion. One block from East End Avenue (on the East River). You can grab a bite here and then walk down to the walkway along the river. Good food as well as pleasant service. Reasonable prices.

This is a nice little restaurant with good service on an early Sunday afterenoon, sitting on a main street (York!!). The small kitchen is opened to the eating area and apparently most dishes are cooked on a crepe disc. We had two desert crepes that were excellent: one with plenty of starwberries and real whipped cream and the other with... More

THe crepes are made at the counter easy to watch your order being prepared. I have been here several times. I find its better to stick with the crepes, that is what they do best. Jeremy T

If you're looking for a light meal, this place has great salads, crepes, and sandwiches. They have a few interesting drinks too. It's not much on the ambience, but that's not what you go there for.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
