I was looking forward to have breakfast or brunch at Sarabeth's, I read that this location is not as crowded as the others, so my husband and I went to this one for brunch. I don't know if it is because it is inside Lord and Taylor or all the locations have the same poor service. The food was very... More

Pretty, contemporary restaurant in the Lord & Taylor store. Okay food, but the service stunk. On arriving the hostess and waitress were busy looking at a iPhone. They completely ignored that I was standing in front of them. Only three tables had patrons, yet my server kept walking around saying "I'll be right with you". She ducked into the kitchen... More

We decided to get breakfast before exploring Central Park and my husband said Sarabeth's was highly rated. I was hungry by the time we arrived from Midtown West so wasn't inclined to look elsewhere. The prices are eye watering really for breakfast but as we may not return to New York for a number of years thought it would be... More

I like Lord and Taylor as a store but this cafe is totally dreary and the food is just so ordinary. The coffee was almost undrinkable (not unusual in the U.S.) and the food, just some cakes we didn't have a full meal there, were just ok. I think the store needs to get it's act together and offer something... More

Had lunch amidst holiday shopping in the city. The experience did not start out promising. The receptionist was not very good. The line was long but she did not say you had to get listed until another man came up and sat before anyone standing in line. Everyone was up in arms and a nice gentleman took over and restored... We had lunch at this restaurant one day while shopping and it was just ok. The pot pie was pretty good, but one member of the group didn't enjoy their meal. A little overpriced and wouldn't go there again if shopping in the store.

This place is in the back of lord and Taylor I think in the Fifth floor. You would never know it's there. I am not sure why this isnt promoted more. It's a lovely little restaurant that you can stop at during a day of shopping. They have brunch items, sandwiches, coffee ice cream. I took my nieces and they thought... More

This is a pleasant place to eat when shopping at Lord And Taylor. The menu is more limited than free standing Sarabeths but still good and the waitstaff is very nice.

We visited Lord & Taylor's and went to the 'cafe' which was full and decided to go the Sarabeth's and explaining that the cafe was was full, we were heartily welcomed by the waiter. Although we only wanted a drink we availed ourselves of the the cakes. My 'jelly' (UK Jam) was very nice with a scone that was unlike... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
