We had a wonderful dinner at Alcala last week, enjoying the monk fish and the cannelloni of spinach and shrimp. Alcala offers a fine selection of beer and wine from Spain as well. The service was outstanding, the bread delicious, and we enjoyed our meal...More

Definitely order the grilled calamari and the lamb chops. I always eat here whenever I have the chance.

Canelones were delicious, croquetas equally so. A little cazuela of seafood delightful, and a cheese plate to finish. Commendable sherry and nice house wine. What more could you want?

This is not the flashiest tapas restaurant nor the most innovative but for good, solid traditional tapas that is authentic and fairly priced, this is a perfectly good choice. Service was very friendly and the size of drinks (particularly the digestifs) generous. Recommended.

Our dinner with friends was one of sharing many different tapas courses. The egg was ok but bland and the anchovies and salmon was interesting but bland. The white sangria was very good. The outstanding dish was shrimp ajillo, very garlicky and perfect spice. The service...More
