Noodle Village satisfied my craving for wonton noodles. I'm usually a big fan of the jumbo wontons made of ground shrimp, but Noodle Village's wontons are impressive as well -- not super large, but at least there are actual pieces are shrimp inside. The egg noodles were pretty standard. I'm getting the feeling that most Chinatown restaurants just love the... More

The soup dumplings here are pretty legit. I came in with two friends on a Friday night at around 7 when we wanted a tasteful meal, but we were all on a budget. That's when one of them suggested soup dumplings at Noodle Village. I haven't had many authentic soup dumplings. They usually come from a plastic bag from the... More

I enjoyed this place. We went as a larger group with a couple of babies and they were able to accommodate our party. Sure we had to a considerable amount of time but it was worth it. The menu is as diverse as are the patrons. The traditional Cantonese dishes were prepared with care and held their consistency until the... More

First time in this restaurant. We went after we read about it in Trip adviser. Roomy restaurant with a good service, in Mott street. Wanton noodles soup-yammy ! Seafood Chawmein -very good. Chicken fried rice-good and delicate (my wife asked without MSG). Enjoy.

Found this place on the way from Brooklyn bridge walk. Surprisingly it turned out to be one of our most favourite places in to eat out in NYC. The food was delicious and the prices are incredibly cheap comparing to other NY cafes and restaurants. We ordered dumpling and noodle soup (the portion was pretty big) and the cost was... More

After a brisk walk across the Brooklyn bridge, it was great to sit in the air conditioning and enjoy the tasty wonton lomein soup whose authenticity we can't get back home. Not hungry enough to say I'll have what they are having! Recommend this restaurant!

Soup dumplings (pork and crab meat) a must. Gentle while picking one up, if you pop it, the juices will come out. Delicious soup noodles, chicken Lo mein, and hot pot rice. Quick and friendly service.

We live Chinese food, but I'm afraid what we call Chinese food at home isn't very authentic! This was a cool place in China Town and you literally feel like you've left the country and are in China! We ordered the shrimp wonton soup, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mien and lollipop chicken wings. All was very good and very... More

Various combinations of family and friends have accompanied me over several years. First introduced to us by a Chinese friend of one of my daughters, we have returned when spending time in lower Manhattan. Great place for dumplings, soups, and other small plates. As noted by several other reviewers, if you have allergies or other specific dietary needs, it might... More

Be sure to have the soup dumplings. We got both the pork and crab. Both delectable. Be careful to pull them up gently otherwise the soup will leak out. We had some other items, but the soup dumplings were the highlight. Service was quick and efficient. Great value. There were 6 of us and the meal only cost us about... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
