OK, this is an expensive place to have cocktails, but what a treat to have drinks in this once "private apartment" tucked away in Grand Central Terminal and accessed by elevator. Whether your fantasy is Great Gatsby or Batman, this hidden institution within Grand Central is a treat.

This place was hard to find the first time I looked for it and I was excited to hear they had opened this back up....but upon finding this Bar and sitting down and then getting terrible service and expensive prices..... I started to wonder why I was even sitting in here with so many great Bars in New York City.

This elegant, relaxing, and unique icon of the glory days of NYC's Grand Central will close soon and a beautiful escape will be lost forever. Don't miss it if you are in NYC soon.

A NYC resident friend took us to this iconic club because she knew that it would be closing this Fall (2016). It is a slightly hidden gem, a glimpse of the high society past. Charming place, treated well by the friendly staff. Pricey drinks.

I had been researching for months the best bars to visit in NYC. We arrived and first had a very hard time finding the entrance. The initial bar looks like it was just an after thought with high top tables. Very loud and what I couldn't believe was how hot it was. So bad, that we left that table and... More

This bar is in a stunning setting, hidden away in Grand Central Terminal. The Drink are great but the prices are high (even for New York).

So glad we found this place. Fantastic setting, good atmosphere and friendly service. I really liked the fact there was a strict dress code as this added to the feel of the place. The decor feels like it would have done in the 18th century, not when the original office was developed but for the period it was decorated to... More

We saw a mention of this bar in a newspaper review of a traveller in New York and decided to find it...without being given a name!! It was worth it; cool ambience, superbly restored and with the most professional bar staff we have ever met...as others have said..expensive..We planned to have one drink but ended up having two, him a... Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
