We ate here last week after doing research on gluten free restaurants in NYC. My daughter has SEVERE celiac disease and going out to eat is a huge challenge. We grilled the waiter about ingredients, source of ingredients and cross-contamination. They have a dedicated gluten free menu. We had an amazing lunch and she ate worry free. She had absolutely... Perfect for pre-/post-theatre dining. There have been changes at this standby -- a new chef took over during summer and tweaked the menu -- and while regulars might miss old favorites, the overall feel survives: smallish, warm and friendly Italian with prices that make sense (and make it a favorite of actual working theatre-people) . Mafalde, a light house-made pasta... More

I have celiac disease, very severe. We went to this restaurant and I had a gluten free meal. Even before the meal was done I knew I was in trouble. I was sick for a day and a half. Any person with celiac disease knows what I am talking about. I do not know if there was a mix-up with... More

We enjoyed their socca yet again, but their fried calamari was so good we ordered a second. Our waiter John Andrew was very attentive and friendly. If you're in the Hell's Kitchen area, check out Nizza.

Great food, service and ambiance. My son had duck rage lasagna. It was a little unique and delicious meal. My daughter had the most amazing ravioli that was clearly made with fresh pasta. Delicious. All of our food was great. Wish we had a long enough visit to New York to go back.

Friends took us to this spot for dinner - they live in NYC and we were visiting for the weekend. What a great meal we had! The group ordered the Burrata pizza as an appetizer--delicious! I had the Sunday Pasta (buccatini, meatballs and sausage) which was just enough of each to satisfy this guy with a big appetite. Other plates... More

We enjoyed our meal. But with the thousands of Italian restaurants in NYC, you really have to do something really fantastic to stand out. Everything we had was very good and good value. But nothing was truly outstanding. Two complaints. The menu selections were not overwhelming and the grated Parmesan cheese came in a bowl and not freshly grated.

My wife and I recently enjoyed lunch here, whilst walking back to our Times Square hotel, from a visit to the USS Intrepid museum. Staying in the Times Square area, we wanted to try restaurants slightly away from the hustle and bustle, and this place was a great find. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
