My family has been eating here for years, and I have to say, we've never had a bad meal. I don't think we've even had a mediocre meal -- everything has been quite good. The only drawback is that they don't take reservations, but as...More

This Japanese restaurant on the Upper West Side was very good but it was a bit expensive. The decor is modern but still comfortable. The service was attentive but not fawning. The food was well prepared and tasty.

Although I don't do raw fish, the japanese specialities are superb. Especially the grilled eggplant and tempura rock shrimp.

This is a surprisingly innovative Japanese restaurant. Fish is super fresh. I love the fried rock shrimp and all the rolls. Great to eat in at the bar (in front) or take away.

We ate here one evening. The tempura was very good. Overall a decent Japanese food experience. The service was however on the slow side. We preferred the other Japanese restaurant close by at the same street, but probably only as a matter of taste as...More

Nicely decorated Japanese restaurant and attentive service. Momoya is fast becoming our go-to place for lunch get-together...very fresh sushi and well-prepared hamachi kama...we do end up always ordering the same dishes, but why risk anything else when you've found a winner?

I have been to several Japanese restaurants in New York city and this is by far my favorite place. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very attentive. I recommend if you're going on a Saturday night, try to arrive before 630pm because...More
